Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Very Authentic. Loved that the restaurant was open and it was a Sunday. It does close at 10pm. Took my elderly parents to eat. This is my second time my husband and I have gone. Plenty of space to sit. When you get there youvdo get chips and salsa. Then you get a small bowl of fideo. Sooooo good. No extra cost. I had the Mexican Burger.. wow! I'm not much of a burger eater but what drew me was ham in the burger, white cheese and Avocado. Received it nice and Hot!!! Soooo good. Sort of like a smashburger but with pressed ham cooked and the cheeses...mmm..the Avocado and salad is on side. The fries were very good. Add'l dishes were fried fish and fries, AL pastor Street tacos and Chalupa. For the 4 of us approx. $48 and this includes drinks and draft beer. Ps if you want to take drink to go. 35 cents add'l. The waitresses very helpful and personable. Speak both Spanish and English. Great Location. Literally right off of Hwy 78. Definitely a return restaurant."
"The food is good, but service has room for improvement. The dish I ordered was well prepared it had plenty of flavor. I do like that they're not using out-of-a-box/can rice and beans. Other restaurants I've visited definitely use a microwave to heat up rice and beans, but not here. Staff is friendly and will get you what you ask, however, beyond that there is not much to say. I do wish the owner or managers would invest in better quality paper napkins. What they have available is the cheapest of the cheap. They're so thin that it's impossible to use one paper napkin to clean or wipe anything, you'll have to stack 3-4 individual napkins to get any results."
"We go there because its very fairly priced and food is decent. Although my potatoes were over cooked today and they need work on their barbacoa it's too dry and no flavor. But every other time I've gone there food is decent and staff is friendly."
"I had the pezole and it was good, they gave me a whole bowl and I couldn't finish it. The waitresses were friendly and quick. The only thing is they didnt have any hand soap in the bathrooms."
"The food is always great but lately sometimes the quesabirria conseme is oily like someone added olive oil or vegetable oil and I know that's not how it is made and it's disgusting.conseme is the broth you make the birria in so yea other than that it's a great place to eat and drink"
"Had breakfast, and it’s authentic and tasty. Good service, too. The people giving bad reviews seem not to know what Mexican food is. They should go eat at Taco Bell where they’ll be happy."
"A must try place. As you enter they bring you FRESH chips, salsa & a cup of fideo . It was good flavor. Birria is by far the best around this Cibolo area. It was only $10.99!!! Their margarita special (even flavored) were $3.99 all day. The 5-9 pm " Happy Hour "special has Cantaritos, Palomas, tequila sunrise & Corona draft $2.99. Other thing we got was a pork chop taco that was good. Will come back to try other food. Also their restrooms are Bucees kinda clean. Kid friendly as they have PacMan game & a basketball shooting game."
"I’m absolutely blown away by how incredible the food is here! This place serves up authentic Mexican dishes that are bursting with flavor—every bite is a delight! The staff is incredibly friendly, always greeting you with warm smiles and making you feel right at home. Best of all, the prices are unbeatable for the quality and portion sizes you get. This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving top-notch Mexican cuisine at a great value!"
